Vice President for Administrative Affairs/Chief Administrative Officer - OIC    


Duties and Functions:

  • He/she shall supervise and administer the following sections: HRMO, Supply and Property Management, Procurement Unit, Building and Maintenance and Infrastructure Development, General Services, Records, MIS, and Security Services.

  • He shall assist the Vice President for Administrative Affairs in the formulation and proper interpretation and implementation of University policies, rules and regulations; initiation of legal action against parties that commit unlawful acts against the University; review of all contracts or memorandum of agreements; and legal research and submission of opinions and/or recommendations on appropriate occasions;

  • He shall assist Vice President for Administrative Affairs together with a lawyer in representing the University in courts, if necessary;

  • He shall keep and maintain a registry of University contracts to be available for inspection, reproduction, and the like during office hours and under reasonable regulations;

  • He shall implement administrative policies;

  • He shall coordinate and supervise the development, maintenance and implementation of personnel program which includes recruitment, selection, promotion, appointment, position classification and compensation, performance evaluation, employees relation and welfare services;

  • He shall exercise technical supervision over the different administrative units of the University;

  • He shall prepare office orders, circulars and memoranda for proper guidance of the administrative staff;

  • He shall conduct administrative investigations and recommend appropriate action against erring employees whenever necessary;

  • He shall supervise the preparation communications and reports of the administrative department and facilitate the procurement and distribution of supplies and materials;

  • He shall act as chairman in the selection/promotion of administrative personnel;

  • He shall participate in policy/decision-making for the University;

  • He shall conduct and/or attend seminars, conferences and other in-service trainings;

  • He shall perform other related functions that may be assigned by the Vice President for Administrative Affairs and/or the University President
