In support to the battle against COVID-19, the faculty members of the Northwest Samar State University are now producing Power-packed & Energy-Boosting SC Cookies and Electrolytes, and Immunity-Boosting Buko Juice for our frontliners which started today, April 6, at the NwSSU Food Processing Laboratory.

According to Dr. Gerald T. Malabarbas, the director for Research and Development, 1800 packs of cookies and 1800 bottles of buko juice are targeted to be distributed for two-weeks.

Mrs. Nelissa Sudaria, program chair of the Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and the co-proponent of the project, said that the produced cookies are rich in Vitamin A, B, & E, carbohydrates, and fiber, while the buko juice has electrolytes and Vitamin C which are necessary in boosting the immunity of our frontliners.

Pecayo together with his Vice Presidents - Dr. Marciano Apilado, Dr. Ramil Catamora, and Dr. Leo Jesus Lacaba; the Faculty Association of the Northwest Samar State University headed by Engr.
