The Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) College of Education gave honors to the 2019 Passers of the Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET) conducted by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) during the Annual Honoring of LET Passers, held last January 24, 2020 at the RSU Socio Cultural Center.
Ninety-four (94) LET Passers attended the said event. There were 53 from the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and 41 from the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) programs who received certificates of recognition for making a name not only for their families, but most of all, for giving a great honor to the College and the University.
Dr. Moises D. Labian, Jr., CESO VI, the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of the Schools Division of Calbayog City and an alumnus of Tiburcio Tancinco Memorial Institute of Science and Technology (former name of NwSSU), graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker.
In his speech, Dr. Labian pointed out the importance of preparation before applying for a job, most specially in the Department of Education.
Labian also motivated the LET Passers by telling his story as a student before becoming a professional teacher.
Furthermore, Nexcell B. Salingsing, a BSED LET Passer, and Natalie Chrisma C. Lozano, BEEd LET Passers gave testimony on their individual challenges before passing the licensure examination.
Paying tribute to the 2019 LET Passers, the BEED graduating students presented a simple show were they showcased their talents.
